Research and Development is of utmost importance for the growth of an academic institution along with the society. Lalit Chandra Bharali College envisages quality research aiming at the development, wellbeing and betterment of the society and the academic progress of the institution as well. In tune with the NEP, 2020, the institution focuses on maintaining the research ethos, and promoting multidisciplinary/transdisciplinary and multilingual research at all levels and to establish an Atma-Nirbhar (self-reliant) and self sufficient India. The R&D cell aims to promote genuine research and build a vibrant research ecosystem. The R&D cell aims at generating awareness in society, society building and sensitization of the same. In the garb of excessive commercialization of education and Western education system, the R&D cell of LCB college aims to bring the indigeneity of the Indian education in all its aspects. Aligning ourselves with the society of India, we aim to put in place an orientation that seeks to promote the indigenous knowledge hub of India, particularly Assam. It aims to create a conducive and healthy research environment, encourage collaboration and linkage with the institutions, industry and community based organizations in order to facilitate research through funding and resource mobilisation. LCB College strongly aims to establish interdisciplinary research, broad enough to behold the academic values and integrity that the NEP envisages. It envisages that its research output is sustainable, reliable and impactful in the long run for the betterment of the society. Research objectives • RDC aims to work as a functioning body and promote the research culture among the college fraternity. • It will work towards producing a vibrant research ecosystem with the guidelines as laid down by the UGC. • It attempts to make use of the human resource, intellectual capital and the regulations and policies of UGC. • The college is committed to promote a research culture among faculty and students as basic long term objectives for the future holistic and overall development of the college. • The RDC seeks to promote research which are socially relevant and help in the upliftment and progress of the society and to face the challenges and adversaries
