The Department of Computer Science has been successfully functioning since 1995. It offers B.Sc. Computer Science(Honours and Regular) Programme with an intake of 150 students. The Department of Computer Science is one of the progressive departments of LCB College that has grown its intake gradually and producing employable graduates.
The Department of Computer Science has uncompromising discipline and flawless execution of academic policies, which makes the Teaching-Learning environment conducive for all types of students to fulfil their dreams.
Students of Computer Science Department are placed in various top MNCs like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Allegion etc. A good count of alumni from the department are working in various institutions/Universities like Gauhati University, IIIT(M), IIST etc. The department has significant role in training students to secure the jobs in software field.
The Department comprises 3 ICT enabled classrooms, 2 fully Air-Conditioned Computer Centres with 80+ systems, state-of-the-art computing facilities with sufficient power supply backup and Wifi connectivity. The laboratory practical classes are conducted in a systematic manner.
Faculty of the Computer Science department are always dedicated and devoted towards the comprehensive development of their students by encouraging them to participate in different coding competitions held in the department and outside the campus.
