Awards and Incentives

College Merit Prize

Students securing the highest aggregate marks in TDC Final Examination (Arts, Science and Commerce) will be awarded Late Ratneshwar Borooah Memorial Award, each of which carries a cash award of Rs.5000/- and a certificate.

Students’ Aid Fund

The College has a Students’ Aid Fund to help the poor but meritorious students of the College. Students having 75% of class attendance are eligible to apply for this aid. During 2015-16, eleven students received financial aid from this fund.

Students Relief Fund

The fund is specially used for the students affected by different natural calamities like flood, fire, earthquake, etc.

Laboratories

The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology has two periodically upgraded A/C Laboratories for approximately 100 students. The networking of the Laboratories is compliant as per Central Authentication Mechanism, which is based on Client Server Technology. The Department also has a Laboratory equipped with Micro-Processor Kit.

The Department of Electronics has a periodically upgraded A/C Laboratory with a capacity of approximately 30 students for basic Electronics. There is a separate set-up for Digital Electronics for 20 students with its own computational facility.

The Department of Physics has two fully equipped Laboratories.

The Department of Education also has a Laboratory with modern equipments.

Photocopying

This facility is available in the college campus for all students.

Magazine

The College magazine “LCBIAN” is published annually. It provides a platform to students to express their views and creativity through various forms of writings.

Audio-visual Aid

The college has the facility of Digital Class Room. LCD projector and Sound systems are used as important aids for holding seminars, workshops and for teaching and learning process.

Power Back-up

The college has a Power House with a capacity of 62.5 KV to meet the demand of electricity for the whole campus during power failure.

Canteen

Canteen facility is available within the college campus for the students, teachers and other employees.

Campus interview

The college has the provision of holding Campus interview for placement of the students. Different multinational companies like TCS, IBM, Wipro, Infosys, etc. have recruited a good number of students through campus interview during the last few years.

Hostel

The college has a Girls’ Hostel with all modern amenities, which can accommodate 40 (forty) students.

Wi-Fi Campus

The entire campus is equipped with Wi-Fi network.

Drinking Water

Pure drinking water equipped with Aquaguard and cooler is available in the campus.

Health Club

The college has a Health Club that conducts lectures and awareness programmes on health related issues. A Health Center equipped with basic instruments is also managed by the Club under the aegis of a Doctor; who has been appointed to look into health concerns of the students and employees of the college, from time to time.

Remedial Coaching

There is a provision for Remedial Coaching using UGC Assistance in the college for degree students belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ minorities/ economically deprived/ physically challenged category.
